Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DriveGuideUSA (the "Site"), which is published at usdriverguide.com. By visiting the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Important disclaimer: DriveGuideUSA is an independent educational publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government agency, DMV, motor vehicle department, or driver licensing authority.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial reference. You agree that you will not:
- Republish, sell, or redistribute the Site's content without prior written permission
- Scrape the Site at a rate that interferes with normal operation
- Misrepresent the Site's content as official government information
- Use the Site in any way that violates U.S. or local law
3. Informational Use Only — Not Legal Advice
All content on DriveGuideUSA is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, not a substitute for the official driver handbook of your state, and not a guarantee of the current law, fee schedule, or DMV process.
Driver licensing rules change frequently. Before you visit a DMV office, take a knowledge test, or apply for any credential, you must verify the current requirements directly at your state's official DMV website. We link to that official source on every state guide.
4. Editorial Standards & Sources
We summarize information from official state DMV websites, official driver handbooks, and published state statutes. We never invent legal requirements, fees, or penalties. Where we cannot verify a number we mark it explicitly. For our full sourcing methodology, see our Editorial Standards.
5. No Warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of any content. Any reliance you place on the information is strictly at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveGuideUSA, its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including but not limited to failed DMV applications, missed deadlines, fines, or any costs incurred by following information on the Site instead of the official DMV.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site contains links to third-party websites — including official state DMV websites, the U.S. Department of State, AAA / AATA, and other educational resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those external sites. Linking is provided for convenience and does not imply endorsement.
8. Advertising
The Site displays advertisements served by third-party networks (currently Google AdSense). Those ads are clearly distinguished from editorial content. DriveGuideUSA does not endorse, sponsor, or vouch for products or services advertised. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies.
9. Intellectual Property
All original written content, layouts, graphics, and code on the Site are © DriveGuideUSA and are protected by U.S. copyright law. State seals, official handbooks, and government source materials remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced under fair-use principles for educational summary.
10. User Submissions (Contact Form)
When you contact us via the contact form, you grant us permission to use the message to respond to you, improve the Site, and (in anonymized form) cite content corrections. We will never sell your email address or sign you up for marketing communications.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the Site for at least 30 days. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
